WE SHOULD BE PATRIOTIC. WE SHOULD DO OUR PART AS CITIZENS

WE SHOULD BE PATRIOTIC. WE SHOULD DO OUR PART AS CITIZENS

We see....Riyaale & Udub, failed in the past and will fail in future. The merely manage to cling to the power by politiking- gaining the power equation in their favour by exploiting the weaknesses of Somaliland democracy and taking the advantages of democracy which they never believed. They only remember how to stay the power.A good leader is the one that is willing to, not only tolerate constructive criticism but also, be open minded to learning from mistakes openly identified by neutral observers. Democracy is Government of the people, by the people and for the people, i.e. a representative Government in which the duty of the leader is to look after the welfare of the people who have elected him. But throughout Somaliland political parties are becoming family owned private enterprises grabbing all cream opportunities leaving only crumbles to the public.

I trust our democracy, (which started with poorest, illiterate mass having mentality), will gradually mature and harvest a good crop of parlmentarians on last day. What we are facing in the meantime is "Election-pain. In every great national movement the lead necessarily comes from the educated public. Civil society is what matters. What we need above anything else is an abiding belief in the intelligentsia goverment. Why need we feel disparate at all? Many of the leaders in our society are guided by unhealthyintentions. Instead of seeking to serve the people and heal our nation’s ills, their actions and decisions are primarilymotivated by their desire for power. Many of the people running our country are run by their addictions to approval, power and control. Unfortunately, few truly healthy individuals want to submit themselves to the necessary abuses inherent to our political races – the verbal abuse both given and received, the huge amounts of money spent, the integrity sacrificed through the concessions, lies an manipulations offered in order to win.

We should be patriotic. We should do our part as citizens. We should vote, join the Goverment which is going to , sign righteous petitions and even join in protest if the cause is worthy of our time. We should give back to our communities and be involved in local undertakings that bring benefit to society. These are all good things that are deemed to be appropriate and good in scripture; but as in all things, there is a line that should not be crossed. We should organize rallies, symposia and lectures to sensitize our people that we should not and cannot be fooled again by these selfish thieves.

In every great national movement the lead necessarily comes from the educated public. Civil society is what matters. What we need above anything else is an abiding belief in the intelligentsia, We have every thing going to forge an effective bond excellent telecommunication, television, air,and road connections, an influential Ngo's and media. Why need we feel disparate at all?

police force is not playing the role of protectors they behave rudely with peoples and people went for help they ask for bribe to solve out the problem. people believe that if they are in need they will be helped by police but it doesnt happen. police force should behave honestly and try to solve the problems of peoples safe them from enimes.

False patriotism may cause some to think that we must not show anti-Somaliland nations and terrorists that our people our independece no longer has the trust of its citizens. But that has already been widely disseminated by endless power abuse and corruptions. Our people, Better to show our enemies that we the people have finally awakened and decided to re-assert our sovereignty and restore Somaliland democracy. Loyalty to country, yes; loyalty to government.
